#128, The Park Bench

To Joe the day started like any other day. He got up, went through his morning routine and headed for his usual walk through the park. After walking the park two times he sat down on a park bench. He gazed out over the park and the city scape not far off.

“A dark place if you ask me.”

Joe looked to his left. Next to him on the bench was a man he swore was a hippie from the 60’s.

“The city is such a dark place. There are a few good hearts but now few and far between.”

“What are you talking about?”

“Oh sorry Joe. I neglected to introduce myself…I’m Jesus. You m here to discuss some things with you.

#102, The Dragon – Part 5

Liam led them along little used paths so the chances of them running into other people would be slim.

Katar gazed left and right into the unfamiliar forest.

“I hope you know where you’re going.”

“I know these woods well. I have hunted and hiked here since I was a youth.”

“I am glad you know where you’re going. Where did you tell your parents you were going?”

Liam took a few seconds to answer. “I told them I had a few errands to run. Which was the truth wrapped in a lie. I feel guilty steering them in the wrong direction.”

“Yes, but it is for their protection.”

She held up her hand. “Quiet.”

They stopped. “The queen is nearby.”

“How did she find you?”

“I do not know but it is best for you if you turn around and go home.”

“I don’t want to leave you.”

“Why do you have such an affinity for helping me? I barely know you.”

“I don’t know. Maybe it’s because I found you in the woods and nursed you back to health. Truly though I don’t know.”

“Then let’s be on our way.”

They moved off the path and through the woods. They had not gone far when they spied a woman sitting on a large rock.

“Ah stepdaughter I’ve found you. You’re looking so…normal.” She looked over to Liam. “I see you’ve found yourself a friend. A shame now there are two of you to be rid of.” She lifted her hands and started to make motions in the air. Liam reached over and grasped hold of Katar’s hand. Something passed between them. They disappeared

#99, The Dragon Part 2

“Where did you come from?” Liam stepped back. “Where’d the dragon go?”

She smiled a smile which encapsulated Liam. “So many questions. I might ask you why you brought me here and in the same manner, who are you?”

“I’ll have you know I am Liam, owner of these stables. As to why I brought you here I have no answer because I’ve never seen you before.”

“Are you daft one named Liam? Surely you remember leading me out of the woods and into your stables. I could not fly away cause my wings are clipped…”

Liam lifted his hand. “Hold it, hold it. You’re telling me you’re the dragon from the woods.”

“Yes, my name is Katar. I was the dragon until you broke the spell. I don’t know how you did it but I am thankful.”

#98, The Dragon Part 1

Liam stroked the nose of his favorite dragon. Out of all the dragons in his stable he loved her the most. She was a silver dragon he’d found injured and wandering in the forest. First shed shied away but after a few moments of coaxing her with some food she warmed up to him.

“Well old friend, how are you today?”

He gave the dragon some food. He leaned over and kissed the dragon on the snout.

“Thank you,” a female voice said. “I’ve been trapped in the dragon body for some time now.”

Liam opened his eyes. There before him stood a red haired woman in a silver dress
